Has anyone in the know even bothered opening the provided logs? Not trying to be smart... just so i know i can expect help in this forum section or not...

Yes, The moderators such as BIGNEWY will check these for faults and do reports for ED's team. They can be helpful to find bugs and or just to help the user if something isn't right with there system.

 

You should add a little more info about your crash too, can help recreate the bug and in some cases help the team narrow down the issue.

 

How to report a bug

 

Basically what were you doing at the time, does it keep happening doing the same thing etc.

 

Many here don't mind helping out with the new beta versions, there is so much going on in DCS to do full testing before every release. Plus how many combinations of hardware out there? It gives ED good feedback with a large audience so they can keep pushing forward.

 

Also have you just updated recently? Have you tried a clean and repair? also delete the content of the FXO folder, Shader cache and let DCS rebuild it.

The crashes are regular for me now too. Never had them before 2.5.1; 2.5.0 was perfect.

Two days ago i had a crash, while playing the A10C surrounded mission. This weekend i had no crash "while" playing, but everytime i had a second try to the SU25T campaign mission that i'm stuck in, the game crashes.

 

So i play 1 mission fine, then i go to play it again, when i go into the mission planner to change the default loadout, game crashes... I will send the log this afternoon. I can reproduce that behavior 90% of the time.

Crashes happen at random on 2.5.1, flying the M-2000C

I play mostly SP

Clean and repair done. Removed add ons (Tacview... reinstalled since it made no differences in crashes)

 

FXO folder, Shader cache deleted.

 

Tried re-creating the saved games profile as well.
