Non-crash event logs (?) for troubleshooting a minor gfx issue.

Just wondering - is there any way of checking out / logging what happens when DCS gfx engine does the rendering, preferrably with timestamps included, and something unusual happens, but not something bad like a crash or freeze?

Some sort of events log, either DCS one, or general, Windows one? I don't think standard DCS logs do something like that if the game doesn't crash, do they?

The reason I ask is - since many patches ago (but already in deferred shading era) I've been having occasional glitch when the screen suddenly blinks for a fraction of a second and the game switches from fullscreen to borderless windowed all by itself. It runs further OK, but the event is still a bit annoying in the middle of fight, when I have to reach the keyboard to Alt-Enter again, but I've no idea why the switch happened in the first place. Looking at the cockpit clock, it seems to be happening about 23 minutes since beginning of the mission, but that doesn't say much.

Note, I've got screensaver, Windows power-saving modes and whatnot turned all off and the thing has been happening with various NVidia driver versions. I also never run any software in the background, apart from minimum of widows processes + antivirus. It probably isn't memory consumption related, as I've had it both on the first missions, and during the next ones in one gaming session...

Maybe it's something with DCS, maybe with my Windows - just want to find some method of monitoring background events to investigate the issue a bit further..

Hey Art-J, is the Windows Event Viewer logging anything when this happens? That could be a source of info to check.

Control Panel-->Administrative Tools-->Event Viewer

Good question. I admit in all my years with Windows, I've never used this app. Might be just the tool I need, will take a look how it works first.
