HOKUM52 Posted May 20, 2018 Posted May 20, 2018 Hi all, About to buy a new laptop, but this time I'm future proofing it by making no compromises. Gonna cost a lump of gold but the specs are as follows: Alien ware 17" 8th Generation Intel® Core™ i9-8950HK Windows 10 Home 64bit English 32GB DDR4-2666MHz, 2x16GB NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1080 OC with 8GB GDDR5X My quesie is: Has anyone tried this kind of processor out with 2.5? Its 6 core 5GHz and it will kick the arse out of modern games but remains a concern because I know DCS prefers fewer cores (the old dcs at least). I really want this to run dcs flawlessly now and into the future! and at this price I cant make a mistake!! It very difficult to find custom laptops which allow older generation core in them now so this is pretty much the newest/top processor out there.
