rogue_blade Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 about a week ago i said i accidentally uninstalled lock on because i thought my gold edition was everything needed but i was wrong. so now just reinstalled lockon and now trying to reinstall flaming cliffs but everytime i put in the CD it says START, UNINSTALL, and EXIT (clicking uninstall does nothing it just exits the box) i want to install!!!!!!!!! im almost positive ive deleted everything lockon related except for lockon 1.0 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
SuperKungFu Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 so let me get this straight, you just removed FC only and left 1.0? Why? It would be a lot easier if you just did a clean reinstall of everything. Because FC was installed on top of 1.0, some files might have been replaced. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
rogue_blade Posted April 7, 2007 Author Posted April 7, 2007 i uninstalled it all. but upon trying to install flaming cliffs the autorun says uninstall. and ive deleted it all. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
SuperKungFu Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 go to your control panel and check if lock on or FC is listed in there and remove it. If it still continues, get some reg cleaner program to clear any unused programs. And if that doesn't work, completely remove the ubisoft/lockon folder. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
rogue_blade Posted April 7, 2007 Author Posted April 7, 2007 when i went to remove them from control panel it said it couldnt even find them. ive uninstalled both, deleted ubi folder uninstalled lockon configurator and modman. all i have left lockon related is a folder with my addon downloads in it. what i think i did wrong was i delete flaming cliffs rather than 'uninstall it'. but still that should be easily fixable which it is turning out not to be. and clicking the uninstall button in autorun causes nothing...... [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
SuperKungFu Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 yea you are never suppose to just delete a program without properly uninstalling it first because it still has a reg file. You deleted the uninstall run program of the game so now control panel can't even find it. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
rogue_blade Posted April 7, 2007 Author Posted April 7, 2007 bah worked it out. had to open the CD and click the install icon rather than letting autorun pop up.... [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
vu sinh Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 Hi! every body. I have just seting up Lock on gold flaming cliff. But when started game, the program requeted checking disc (Starforce). There for I can't play this game. Could you show me how to play this game?

SuperKungFu Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 Probably the vu sinh's copy is a torrent... We can't assume anyone who can't get the game to run means that they downloaded the game. When lock on gold first came out, everyone had defective disk and couldn't get the game to run. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
HellMutt Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 Hi, if you bought LockOn Gold or Lomac and then Flaming cliffs CD-version, the Flaming Cliffs CD has to be in your CD drive so that Starforce can check that you have a legal version of the game. Starforce will ask for the CD once a week, so you don't really need to have the CD in your CD-drive the whole time. There is also a download-version of Flaming Cliffs (that you can buy at http://www.lockon.ru) that only requires that you enter a key at installation and then never checks again. Once you get the program up and running, the manual can be found in de "Docs"-folder that you see under the Lockon installation folder (usually "C:\Program Files\LockOn\"). I recommend first flying with the A-10, as it is one of the most forgiving planes to fly. You should also view the Training tracks in FC and following site (http://flankertraining.com/ironhand/index.html). Good luck i7 8700K @ 4.4Ghz, Radeon RX 6800, HP Reverb, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS, MFG Crosswind pedals, Thrustmaster MFD's
