Nealius Posted June 1, 2018 Posted June 1, 2018 I just noticed this in the 2.5.2 updates, initially thought I was crazy, then flew the Hornet at the same airbase and weather, and something's definitely strange. I asked in the general forums if the atmospheric modeling had been changed and got no response. Weather QNH: 30.10 Airbase: Nellis, elev. 1853' on the ramp Pre-2.5.2, my altimeter had to be set to 30.28 to read 1850' on the ramp. Post 2.5.2, my altimeter had to be set to 29.95 to read 1850' on the ramp. ME QNH is still 30.10. With the Hornet, my altimeter has to be set to 30.16 to read 1850'. ME QNH is still 30.10. Is there a known issue with the baro altimeter or should I do a reinstall of my Harrier module?
Zeus67 Posted June 1, 2018 Posted June 1, 2018 We will check "Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better idiot-proof programs, and the Universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the Universe is winning." "The three most dangerous things in the world are a programmer with a soldering iron, a hardware type with a program patch and a user with an idea."
Nealius Posted June 2, 2018 Author Posted June 2, 2018 These missions were made on an older version of NTTR: 2.5.0 or maybe even 2.2OA. I don't recall which, so I made a fresh mission with 2.5.2 Update 2 to rule out compatibility issues. New test mission, QNH set 30.10 again. Same ramp spot on Nellis (F109). Set altimeter to 1850' and the Kollsman window read 29.92.
