view.. free view (CTRL F11) and then lock again on airplane ?

I remember long ago I made a few videos, and I was able to use the free cam (CTRL F11) and position myself where I wanted, and then I would lock the camera back on my airplane, and the camera would follow the plane from that viewpoint..

 

does anyone knows/remember what combination of keys that was ?

Padlock which is either numlock or kp. I can't remember if I remapped to that though. Look for padlock in the views column.

they may have changed it, I use alt f2 to lock the camera angle right now, and then "." on the numpad to lock onto plane.
