Pinefang Posted June 13, 2018 Posted June 13, 2018 I've never had an update issue before today. The update stopped with error message can't run f:\program files\eagle dynamics\dcs World openbeta\bin/dcs.exe because f:\program files\eagle dynamics\dcs world openbeta/bin\ dcs.exe already exists. Then when I tried a second time I got Can't run F:\program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta \bin/dcs.exe: The system can't find the file specified. Here is the log text: 00000.030 --- Log file: C:\Users\Steve\AppData\Local\Temp\DCS.openbeta\autoupdate_templog.txt 00000.000 === Log opened UTC 2018-06-13 17:59:00 00000.017 INFO : DCS_Updater/2.8.1.58 (Windows NT 10.0.17134; Win64; en-US) 00000.017 INFO : cmdline: "F:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\bin\DCS_updater.exe" 00000.021 STATUS: Initializing... 00000.026 INFO : basedir: f:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta 00000.027 INFO : dcs_variant.txt: openbeta 00000.030 INFO : DCS/2.5.2.18307.391 (x86_64; EN; WORLD,F-5E,A-10C,FC3,A10C-BFT_campaign,NEVADA_terrain,PERSIANGULF_terrain,FA-18C) 00000.030 INFO : branch: openbeta 00000.031 INFO : Skipping update check, only 0.4 hours passed since the last one. 00000.032 INFO : DCS/2.5.2.18307.391 (x86_64; EN; WORLD,F-5E,A-10C,FC3,A10C-BFT_campaign,NEVADA_terrain,PERSIANGULF_terrain,FA-18C) 00000.032 INFO : branch: openbeta 00000.032 ERROR: Can't run f:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\bin/DCS.exe: (2) The system cannot find the file specified. 00276.814 === Log closed. Pinefang Posted June 13, 2018 Author Posted June 13, 2018 Hey Bignewy thanks for the solution. Not sure why I didn't think of running a repair. Again, thanks a lot. By the way I spent 3 years a RAF Woodbridge, near Ipswich and had a great time.
