Dave73 Posted June 15, 2018 Posted June 15, 2018 I saw that there was version 1.5 on dcs world page... I was gunna download because my pc is getting dated and i use to be able to max out setting in 1.5 but now in 2.5 i can barely run it. So my question is, why is there 1.5 on the download page if when going to install it will just update you to 2.5?
Art-J Posted June 15, 2018 Posted June 15, 2018 You partially answered your own question. It's there for these guys who for one reason or another cannot or don't want to use 2.5.x. As for running the game, edit the shortcut to launch it using dcs.exe instead of dcs_updater.exe and it won't try to update to newer version. i7 9700K @ stock speed, single GTX1070, 32 gigs of RAM, TH Warthog, MFG Crosswind, Win10.
Dave73 Posted June 15, 2018 Author Posted June 15, 2018 Ill try again but when i was going through the steps to download it it wouldnt continue unless i proceeded to update to 2.5..ect. I wanted to check out 1.5 to see if high settings in that look better than the low settings i have to run in 2.5 beta
