Badlego Posted June 25, 2018 Posted June 25, 2018 Flying in high turbulent wind fields causes high amplitude rudder oscillations which affect the stability of the plane. i dont have a track yet but can look for some boat landings on the 104th were i noticed it. steps to reproduce: fly at landing speed through wind with high turbulence parameters and watch the rudder when the plane begins to wiggle around. wind and turb values are not known yet but should be around the properties on the 104th server.
WindyTX Posted June 25, 2018 Posted June 25, 2018 Well in high turbulence it's normal for the control surfaces to move around a lot as the FCS is trying to keep the aircraft steady, as it operates a manouver demand system. If you don't put an input on the stick it trys to keep the same attitude. It should be keeping the Aircraft stable not making it unstable.
