And what's the difference with "pilot radio trigger radio" switch?

This is what I've noticed:

If i move intercom rotary and then click "pilot radio trigger radio" assigned button, I can speak with the radio selected by the rotary (1 for FM, 2 for UHF, 3 for AM), while if I click "pilot radio trigger ICS" (the button on the cyclic trigger IRL) I cannot speak with radio even if the rotary is correctly selected. I.e.: if I want to talk to ATC, first I move rotary on 3 (AM radio), then if I click "pilot radio trigger radio" opening AM radio menu and I can talk to ATC, while if I click "pilot radio trigger ICS" I always open intercom menu regardless of my rotary position and ATC can't hear me. So what is the function of "pilot radio trigger ICS" and why IRL it's so important to be assigned on the hotas? Why not "pilot radio trigger radio" on the real hotas? And IRL, where is "pilot radio trigger radio" button? Is this a bug or it works as intended?

ICS is the intercom for talking directly to ground crew without touching the radio selector with the engines running. Also I believe it's used in real life to talk to the people in the back.

IRL the radio button on the cyclic has two active positions, first detent not fully pushed and the second pushed all the way in. I don't remember if the ICS is on the first or second detent.

So maybe, since my hotas has a single stage trigger, the best choice could be to put "pilot radio trigger radio" on the cyclic and to set elsewhere "pilot radio trigger ICS": no people on the backseat (except gunners that have their own commands) and if I have to talk to ground crew with engine running I'm on the ground, and so I can hit a less accessible button than the trigger (I play in VR); while I need to use radio during flight and to have "pilot radio trigger radio" on the cyclic can be the easiest way to reach it (I've set intercom rotary on an accessible button yet). What do you think?

Sounds good to me. I have defined one of my 8 buttons as a shift key and use that together with the same button as "pilot radio trigger radio" to utilize the ICS.

The intercom can also be selected with the radio selector and the "pilot radio trigger radio".

Good idea. I'll set "trigger ICS" on the trigger + modifier, while "trigger radio" only the trigger itself. I've got another question on the cyclic that I'm note sure about: in the manual there's a multi function button on the cyclic called "hoist switch". What is its function? And what are the commands in the commands list to assign it to? Thanks.

I actually have 2 of my buttons as modifiers, giving me 40 button combinations with the rest 6 buttons + 4-way hat.

I don't know about that button you mention, but it's most likely for the cargo slinging. Search for "cargo" in the button assignments.
