Neil Gardner Posted July 2, 2018 Posted July 2, 2018 I am reaching such levels of frustration with regard to crashes and stutters in DCS. Just so that you know I’m not prone to react negatively over trivialities, I now crash EVERY SINGLE TIME. I realise that we are dealing with a Beta product and issues like this will arise from time to time, but for the love of God please fix it. And by the way I think the business of disallowing the creation of tickets regarding technical issues in Beta to be a bit of s kop-out, and it really wouldn’t hurt to make direct contact with the fee paying public to address specific issues like these. I’m confident you are doing what you can just please let us know you have heard and tell us what you are doing to try and sort this out. As for my own 4 penny worth on what might be going on, there is a great deal of comment on the performance forum about the relationship between stutters and Ethernet. I think this may be related to the crashes as well as DCS attempts to operate a complicated process just as the stutter causing WiFi interference hits. Anyway, please address yourself to this guys or at least tell us that you know what is happening and how your trying to deal with it. Thanks Neil
Neil Gardner Posted July 3, 2018 Author Posted July 3, 2018 I apologise somewhat for my hectoring tone last night, it’s just that my DCS has always been so stable and reliable until now. Do your best guys
maxTRX Posted July 3, 2018 Posted July 3, 2018 Give the readers here some more detail about your hardware and software and someone might give you some ideas. There are some pros on these forums.
Neil Gardner Posted July 3, 2018 Author Posted July 3, 2018 Ok, thanks for the reply. I have an i9 7000x, a GTX 1080Ti, 32 GB DDR 5 Ram, SSD 1TB. I usually have smooth and silk, even in VR. But lately it has been a bit of a nightmare.
Randy_Lahey Posted July 3, 2018 Posted July 3, 2018 Have you verified cpu and ram run correct? CpuZ etc. benchmark to confirm something didn’t go fubar with your setup? If computer is solid, then try repairing?
Randy_Lahey Posted July 3, 2018 Posted July 3, 2018 Ps not trying to attack etc Have had motherboard bios do odd things
Neil Gardner Posted July 3, 2018 Author Posted July 3, 2018 Everything is newly setup which is not to say all is ok just because of that but because only two weeks ago all was running fine and all is running well still with everything else including P3sv4 and X Plane 11.
Randy_Lahey Posted July 4, 2018 Posted July 4, 2018 If your cpu/ram are running at spec. Then I would say it's a driver issue or corrupt file. May try updating Nvidia graphic driver. Trying repair of DCS?
msalama Posted July 4, 2018 Posted July 4, 2018 You said you installed a Win10 update a while ago. Any way you could roll that back and see if it helps? The DCS Mi-8MTV2. The best aviational BBW experience you could ever dream of.
Randy_Lahey Posted July 4, 2018 Posted July 4, 2018 also, make sure Xbox DVR didn't turn itself on. That will chug your computer down.
Neil Gardner Posted July 4, 2018 Author Posted July 4, 2018 Thanks guys will try what you suggest today
