  1. Ah yes, will check that. But what I meant was that they are not showing up in DCS. I have to put it direct into the computer before it shows up.
  2. Hi i wondered if anyone might be able to tell me why Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS is not showing when put through new USB 3.0 Hub Powered RSHTECH 24W 7 Port USB 3 Data Hub Aluminum Portable USB Splitter with Individual On/Off Switches and 12V/2A Power Adapter? Bit if a mouthful but I thought I’d put the full title. Thanks. Neil.
  3. I am a big fan of the JF17, it burst on to the scene out of the blue and from the outset it had loads of features. DEKA are to be congratulated on all of that. I do have a bit of gripe though. Are you intending to improve the cockpit textures? - most of which are fine but, for example, the throttle mount seems a bit sub par and incomplete and textures on various aspects, for instance back left if you are seated in the cockpit. thanks NeilG
  4. There have been some nice pics on Twitter recently, together with the Falklands scenery and a beautiful looking Lightening (tge one the RAF were flying in the 70’s and 80’s), so who knows.
  5. I wonder if I could ask how much of the work that goes into making a model like this for another platform can be transferred over when undertaking a project like this. I have another IFE MB339 and there will be much greater functionality in this model than the one I've already got. I wonder if that functionality will work its way back as well.
  6. I cant rightly remember where I saw it, and I could be completely wrong, but can someone confirm that TG are hoping to release in Q2 next year?
  7. Thanks guys, I will try what you have both suggestedl
  8. HUD difficult to see. I do find the HUD difficult to see. Is there any way of altering the depth of shade or even the colour altogether like with the VRS F18? Any advice appreciated. Thanks Neil.
  9. When I went on the site it seemed like everything was out of stock.
  10. I think you are absolutely right and its great to have someone like Bonz on board. I think that developers these days are the victims of their present exceptional abilities which, speaking as someone who once upon a time 'flew' FS2000 models, produce a level of visual quality, technical capability and general fidelity that is absolutely wonderful. There then follows a degree of expectation that is thoroughly unreasonable. $70 models are never going to be perfect and when you consider the thousands, perhaps millions, spent on military training simulators and even they are not perfect, then you realise you'd be foolish to expect anything else.
  11. I don't know if you would be allowed to answer the following question but I'm going to ask it anyway because I value your estimation. 'Is it looking good?'
  12. I'm not writing this to have a moan, but just out of concern for the whole DCS project which I have been following since the days of Lock-on and derive a great deal of pleasure from. Lets say, to begin with, that the greater majority of projects are brought to completion, but there are a significant number of third party projects that only seem to get so far and then disappear into the ether. Why is that? The hard question is whether DCS sometimes issue a licence to projects that they have not sufficiently well estimated for business model? a proven record of prduction and completion of projects? Something like Razbam had been around a while and had a good reputation in FSX, also Metal2Mesh, but I wonder about others and it makes you very cautious in buying any early access models that may or may not continue to be developed, the Hawk and Normandy map come to mind. I'm only asking and not asserting since I dont know. Ive written this having just purchaced the channel map which is really quite beautiful and contrasted it with the Normandy Project and the very absent Ugra Media - so much potential still. And I've wondered whether DCS has any means of picking up half done projects if devs pull out. Thanks Neil.
  13. The channel map having just been released, and I must say I think it is very nice, I was just wondering what the long term abition for the Normandy map it? There would seem to be a great deal of potential here and a certain coperation between developers must surely enable the facility for joining the maps together. Thanks Neil
  14. I’ve just bought map and looking forward to taking the P47 out over it tomorrow.. But, can’t one of you clever modding guys come up with some means of locking the two maps together? It’s crying out to be united with the Normandy. Of course it might be impossible for whatever reason. I haven’t a clue how these things are done , I wish someone would teach me.
  15. Thanks for responses guys, all now sorted. I lost the bindings for some reason.
  16. Hello all As the title of my thread says, when using my KA, or my I 16, I have no F buttons and I have no escape button. What this means is that I have no alternative and external views, no map etc, but more importantly I can't leave that install unless I close the whole game using Ctl-Alt-Delete. Most strange. Never had this before. Can anyone shed some light on this? I suspect I might have forgotten something really quite obvious. Thanks all. Neil.
  17. I've shared your pain brother! JimJim is absolutely right. I've been flight simming since FS2000 and it has always been the most frustrating, heart breaking, wonderful hobby in PC simulation. Its the place where things are experimented with and so the place in which some things don't end up working quite as intended. Nevertheless, I have to tell you that contemporary modelling and creating of environment, especially in something like DCS is positively supernatural by comparison with how things were only a few years ago. And if there is something wrong, they will fix it reasonably quickly.
  18. I was an early purchaser and I remember people wondering why they would buy it given what they already had. Well, I can give you my own personal response: its so beautiful, so clever, so immersive. Its one of the most lovely things I have seen in 20 years of flight simming. Well done. You are accomplishing what, to someone like me at least, are truly magical things. I cant wait to get the VR off my son. Now a question. Would it be possible to put a list of the hand and arm signals in the kneeboard?
  19. I see, fair enough.. thanks for the response. Presumably the question has also been asked about whether the day time AV might become available at some point. I should add, I love the Harrier - as I still call it being a Brit - and am happy either way, it’s an excellent piece of modelling.
