HI, is there a way to have a time delay in a trigger?

meaning that if you could set a trigger to activate, say 5 minutes after it was "triggered"? ie, a scramble flight is activated 5 min after opfor has entered an area... if that makes sense...

Thanks

Yes you can do this.

Create the first trigger and add action "flag on" on flag 1.

Create the second trigger with condition "time since flag" and specify flag 1 and the time you want in seconds. Then add your do script or group activate action to it.

I guess you could use a scheduleFunction singleton to do this.

Combine it with a zone condition check/flag and with activateGroup function

That's one of the ways I'd do it, I guess.

Follow up question.

I have done the Flag 1 = on, created a new trigger with a 20 secs timer and then on action I have set activate static.

It is my intention to activate large smoke and fire after an initial explosion effect. However the static object (Huge Smoke Fire) is active on mission start and I can't set it to

1 Once XXX, NO EVENT

-> TIME SINCE FLAG (1, 20)

--> STATIC ACTIVATE -> Huge Smoke and Fire Static object

Any suggestions?

There is a separate trigger specifically for the effects. Place a trigger zone over the area you want the smoke/fire to appear and remove the manually placed smoke and fire object. Use a trigger to specify when and where you want the smoke to appear.

I believe it's called STATIC EFFECT ACTIVATE but I'm not in front of my PC at the moment. Note that you can only activate up to large smoke & fire this way at the moment, huge smokes are not worked. The issue has been reported.
