CougarFFW04 Posted July 29, 2018 Posted July 29, 2018 Hi Guys, I have a question concerning AI behavior when they must change their MSL altitude on their flight path between two waypoints (let's call them WPT1 and 2). Altough I could not identify the reason, I have noticed that : - sometime they start climbing after passing WPT1 and then fly at WPT2 altitude till they reach it. - sometime they delay their climb and fly WPT1 altitude till a certain point where they start climbing to reach WPT2 at the selected altitude. What is the reason that determine the start/delay climbing behavior ? How can I choose between these two ? I searched in the manual but didn't find anything about that... Thanks
feefifofum Posted July 29, 2018 Posted July 29, 2018 The short answer is there is no user control. As a workaround, you can set multiple waypoints for their climb out if you want them to be at a certain altitude at a certain place. THE GEORGIAN WAR - OFFICIAL F-15C DLC
CougarFFW04 Posted July 29, 2018 Author Posted July 29, 2018 OK thanks. Pity that we can only tweak this parameter with additional WPT.
feefifofum Posted July 29, 2018 Posted July 29, 2018 (edited) Just be glad you missed the era where they'd try to max perform every climb to the altitude of the next waypoint. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=204761 Edited July 29, 2018 by feefifofum THE GEORGIAN WAR - OFFICIAL F-15C DLC
CougarFFW04 Posted July 29, 2018 Author Posted July 29, 2018 As soon as they reach WP1, they do a chandelle, and the other flights stall out. LOL :pilotfly::megalol:
