ATC options greyed out on menu

I am now trying to understand how the radio works on the Viggen, and am struggling with most aspects of it atm.

First question, why are all the options in ATC menu greyed out?

I'm sure it is obvious, but I just can't work it out!

You need to be on the correct radio channel, especially if you don't have "easy communications" turned on.

Chuck's guide has a nice graphic showing what each channel button is for.

Thanks Phil, I think my problem was I had Easy Comms on.

However, I have no idea how we are supposed to read the base selector dial. It is about the only dial that doesn't light up with any of the cockpit lighting switches. In 4K 2D I have to zoom in a lot to see the numbers. Haven't tried in VR yet.

OK, so it is impossible to read that guage in VR. All the radio buttons on the panel light up, but not that dial window. Try Cold Start Instant Action.
