WoCNicholas Posted August 4, 2018 Posted August 4, 2018 So basically when I use IR my Pipper does not follow the target anymore and It gives me no green light to fire and for Radar same thing it shows no green light to fire this all happen after today's update. Do anyone know an easy fix?
LupinYonder Posted August 4, 2018 Posted August 4, 2018 Hi The piper has settings that control it's behaviour in DCS settings. In it's more realistic behaviour is not to track the target ( as it does not in real life ) but stays centred. The green launch authorisation light is another matter that I can't help you with.
Frederf Posted August 4, 2018 Posted August 4, 2018 Green light on the sight is radar lock on, not to shoot. Green light(s) on the dashboard right of the sight are indicator lights for some models of IR missiles of tracking signal (again, not indication to shoot). I only find the "62" light working with R-60/R-60M. The "55" lights are not shining in any situation. The launch light is red colored and is coming on very close (~1800m for R-3S, R-55).
KilledAlive Posted August 5, 2018 Posted August 5, 2018 I would say in this situation to use the Fixed Net to determine where the aircraft sniffs for heat signatures. Then, use the growl combined with the launch light to determine when it is ready to fire.
