[REPORTED] Sirri Island ADF beacon

The ADF beacon on Sirri Island is shown as 113.8Mhz on the map. Tuning this frequency (in the Hornet) guides you to Fujalrah International, however, which also has a beacon at that frequency.

 

Given that I can't pick up the beacon at Sirri Island even when I'm right on top of it, I'm wondering if it's either broken, not broadcasting, or broadcasting on a different frequency to what's called out on the map.

I have the Sirri VOR noted as 113.75, but since I'm away from my sim computer I can't check where I got that number from. See if that frequency works. The Fujairah VOR is indeed 113.8, so that much seems right.

 

If .75 is the right frequency the question remains why the map would show otherwise, of course.

Thanks Tippis. You're totally correct - the actual frequency for Sirri Island is 113.75, but that's definitely not what's communicated via the icon on the map screen.

Does it look the same in-game? I've noticed that the map info available in the ME sometimes varies from what the in-game map shows — ILS glideslopes being perhaps the most obvious example.

You're right. In-game, .75 is rounded up to .80, while the ME shows the correct frequency. Disregard my previous post.
