Rysgame Posted August 6, 2018 Posted August 6, 2018 Okay braintrust! I am trying to set up MQ-9s as FACs or JTACs for my mission. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to set them, or any other air unit as FAC/JTAC. Ground units I have mostly figured out. Thoughts/Guides/Help? Thank you in advance ladies and gentlemen.

There are many ways for the unit to have FAC behavior. There are basically two kinds of tasks: active and en route. There are also two kinds of FAC behavior: assigned and as-detected. But none of that matters if you just want to check in with the MQ-9/FAC. You give him the simplest en-route as-detected simple "FAC" behavior and it'll show up in your radio menu. You check in and it'll tell you to attack a unit (if it detects one) and it stops when it finishes its flight plan and lands. If you want to force detection and assignment of a unit you use the "FAC - Assign Group" task so it knows about it no matter what. If you struggle to contact the FAC by the radio make sure that its frequency information as set on the FAC task details is the same radio frequency you're using to contact.
