fitness88 Posted August 10, 2018 Posted August 10, 2018 Why do we see the format for GPS coordinates in the charts as Degrees/Decimal minutes, we then convert it in the UFC to D/M/S only to see it in the HSI>data page once again as Degrees/Decimal minutes? Why doesn't the F-18 allow for the input of Degrees/Decimal minutes...or does it?
CHSStarKiller Posted August 11, 2018 Posted August 11, 2018 I believe the real A/C does but I can be wrong but most DEVS don't use the decimal option because of the calculations that would be involved. I remember when pilots had to enter every WP to go flying before the bricks were introduced. I remember when pilots had to enter every WP to go flying before the bricks were introduced. Well that's what we do now, enter the GPS co-ords manually for each mission to create our waypoints. Wouldn't it be nice if we could reload the file that contains all the manually loaded GPS co-ords, we could have every runway set with a waypoint, any idea where that file is...? I couldn't find it, possible doesn't exist. I worked on a kneeboard file to help with this: 180811_f-18 runways.jpg
macedk Posted August 11, 2018 Posted August 11, 2018 Bms falcon has a system where u can load threat rings and other local data and have it shown on the hsd. Could be nice with a data loader of some sort. :) OS: Win10 home 64bit*MB: Asus Strix Z270F/ CPU: Intel I7 7700k /Ram:32gb_ddr4 GFX: Nvidia Asus 1080 8Gb Mon: Asus vg2448qe 24" Disk: SSD Stick: TM Warthog #1400/Saitek pro pedals/TIR5/TM MFDs [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Yes it would be nice to find a way to load previous mission waypoints.
