Habu_69 Posted August 25, 2018 Posted August 25, 2018 Yesterday Win 10 updated itself to ver 1803 and DCS OB also updated. Now Voice Attack no longer works with DCS, but does continue to work normally with other sims, like Falcon BMS. When in Causasus 3D world PTT DX button works only intermittently and VA will not recognize commands. While in DCS 3D world, unpaused, the VA sound detection bar at bottom of VA window shows full red sound detection, even tho I am using headset, no speakers and no ambient noise. Pause DCS and the bar detects sound as expected and VA functions normally. So I conclude that for some reason DCS is passing 3d world (cockpit noise) sim sounds thru the OS to VA and this constant sim sound is causing all the other detection issues. This problem appears unique to my system, since nobody else is complaining on the forums. My mobo is Gigabyte Z370. I installed updated sound driver with no improvement. System: Win 10 ver 1803, Intel I5 8600, 16 GB DDR4, NVidia GTX 1070 video, Vid Driver 395.XX, SSD with plenty headroom. Anyone else experience this? Any advice?
The_Nephilim Posted August 25, 2018 Posted August 25, 2018 check your sound settings and make sure Windows update did not change the speakers to another device like your vid card audio?? Intel Ultra 265K 5.5GHZ / Gigabyte Z890 Aorus Elite / MSI 4070Ti Ventus 12GB / SoundBlaster Z SoundCard / Corsair Vengance 64GB Ram / HP Reverb G2 / Samsung 980 Pro 2TB Games / Crucial 512GB M.2 Win 11 Pro 21H2 / ButtKicker Gamer / CoolerMaster TD500 Mesh V2 PC Case
Habu_69 Posted August 27, 2018 Author Posted August 27, 2018 The following actions DID NOT resolve the issue: Mobo audio driver update, disable Nvidia vid card audio drivers in device Manager, reinstalling DCS. Restoring back to earlier Win 10 version resolved the problem.
