SoaringEagle74 Posted May 18, 2007 Posted May 18, 2007 Hi. When I play Lock-On my system fan seems to work continously! Is this normal or a serious problem? My computer is a Pentium 4 3.0Ghz laptop with 1GB ram and 128 MB ATI graphics card. Thanks for any help!
Ven Posted May 18, 2007 Posted May 18, 2007 System fan or CPU fan? If your motherboard has feature that adjusts fan speed according to temperature, then it sounds normal that it runs continuously while running CPU intensive game.
SoaringEagle74 Posted May 19, 2007 Author Posted May 19, 2007 I think its the cpu fan but I am not absolutely sure. This also happens when I play Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 and other cpu intensive games so I guess its normal. Anyway, I thought I should ask to be sure. Thanks!
Pilotasso Posted May 19, 2007 Posted May 19, 2007 Yup, sounds like your fan is being controled by the bios. If you swich auto fan controll it will make noise all the time. Let it be as it is. .
