VR Oculus Rift framerate drop after most recent update

I've noticed my VR performance dropped noticably after the most recent update. I restarted my computer, checked missions..the framerate is choppy and I can see black "square" remnants in my peripheral vision (while on the carrier or ramp). The problem persists after take off as well.

 

 

I have also noticed when I want to "Quit to Windows" the game just freezes and I have to CTRL+ALT+DELETE.

 

 

Anyone else had similar issues?
