Nooch Posted December 22, 2018 Posted December 22, 2018 (edited) I don't want to resurrect this old thread, but I want to pass on that the helpful folks here were right: I upgraded to an i7-8700K, and my DCS frame rate has easily more than doubled. That definitely confirms that I was greatly CPU-bound with my good 'ol 2600K... :( Thanks for the info mate. I just got myself a 1080 ti and was astonished to see my fps remained exactly the same as with my gtx 980... I have a 4670k (@4.2ghz) which is a slightly newer (but still old) cpu than the 2600k you had and it looks like it is holding back my graphics card like it did for you :( Other games like witcher 3 give me a 100% fps boost but because DCS is basically locked to a single core, well I'm getting no improvement.
