I did a search over at fencecheck.com and found nothing. They're usually pretty good about getting that sort of thing posted, and the only references I can find online are from air show sites listing it, but none have a link to an official page.

Searching the Buckley site turns up nothing as well, so I wonder if they canceled it this year. I know Elmendorf's Arctic Thunder show has not been scheduled for this year, and is only going to be held every other year.

With the Air Force Academy Graduation coming up here shortly, theres bound to be a few airshows nearby since the Thunderbirds will be here. Ill look into some here shortly.

Suggested routes to Peterson Air Force Base air show

March 28, 2007 - 1:10AM

If you're headed to the Peterson Air Force Base air show Saturday, air show and airport officials suggest the following routes to keep traffic snarls to a minimum:

Front Range Air & Space Day

When:

Today

Where:

Peterson Air Force

Base Times:

Gate off Marksheffel Road will be open 7 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.; the west gate, off of Powers Boulevard, will be open 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. Performances will be 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Activities:

Air show featuring the Air Force Thunderbirds, F-18 Hornet Demo Aerobatics Team, F-15 Eagle Demo Team and other airborne entertainment; children’s activities, country music and food booths.

Cost:

Admission and parking are free

Traffic:

Heavy traffic is expected; allow plenty of time to get on base — or around the base if you are traveling through the area.

Airport:

The Colorado Springs Airport will remain open and flights are expected to leave and arrive on schedule.

Guess that means the air show is over.... :( and to think I was wondering why there were T-38's flying strange formations here the other day...

There will be a fly in at the Rocky Mountain Regional Airport this saturday...I found this out from the Redstone College campus there, and I will be attending this weekend.

no,i dont recall seeing that bi-plane,lthough i did get there an hour after the show started, and saw a bi-plane,but it wasnt the one you talk of.I did see the DA40,but just passing it by,i did check out some new twin engined aircraft i havent seen before, looked like a 4 seater-twin engined Katana of sorts, don't remember the manufacturer though, one surprise,i can say,was a cf-41 (ct-114) "tutor" i think the serial was 336-337 or something like that, dont really remember, but i can tell you that it had the snowbirds paint scheme(minus the actual snowbirds name, logo) but everything else was the same, maybe a former snowbird?,who knows i may have been seeing things as i was out in the sun for a while(got sunburned),overall there were some cool things to see, like the DH-112 "venom" flying with a t-33a,can tell you that the venom was way cooler then the t-33, although they are quite some years apart of course, but the venom did some really nice high speed passes.B-25 was nice to see along with a pony that did a heritage flight with the 15,they did say there was gonna be a viper demo from CO ANG,but they didnt do it today, tomorrow, they said,so i might have to check that out as well..would have taken pictures, but i dont have a camera..

no,it had a very pronounced serial number, also it didnt have the snowbirds written on it.I didnt end up driving out there today, had to help friend move,by then i was already tired from being out in the sun,and i dont think that i could have handled being in the sun since i already pretty burned.
