Disable G limiter during whole flight?

It's more expensive to replace a fighter pilot than it is any of the fighters it operates. A pilot cost the government well over 100 million dollars to train up. A Hornet cost a good bit less than 100mil. Pilots are encouraged to do everything possible to make it back home alive, at the expense of the jet, as long as it's warranted by situation.

That is no where near correct. It costs, on average, between $6-11 million to trying a pilot to be proficient in a weapon system.

Indeed. The pilots often try to save the aircraft by all means and there are quite a few who died in the process. But it is of course correct that a life is way more valuable than a machine. But it is not about costs. It is about moral principles and the experience that gets lost. Even if you train a new pilot it will take time for him or her to become proficient and there a some people who cannot be replaced. It may even differ in different countries but in the German Air Force our pilots think more than twice before they abandon their aircraft. It could name a lot of examples. And of course it also depends on the individual, some stay cool even if they should not and some panic.

And another point: It seems that a majority of the people seems not to understand that the aircraft's envelope protections are not intended to restrict or frustrate him but to help him. And that is what they do. They enhance the abilities of the aircraft and the pilot.
