New to Windows 10 And Nvidia cards. Settings and control panel downloads

I’m installing windows 10 for the 1st time but I don’t like 10’s interface. I’d like to keep it as a win7 interface for the time being while I’m installing everything. (It’s what I’m used to)

I’ve heard there’s a patch to change it to look/act like 7? Any links?

 

Also I’m new to Nvidia. For the last 20 years I’ve used ATI cards.

I’ve switched to a 1080ti

 

Any recommendations on what Nvidia software I should install? Control panel, that sort of stuff. It’s mainly a DCS system so any help with utilities would be great.

 

I have 1080ti and i7 8700k

 

At the moment I’m using 2 monitors for DCS 1920/1080.

 

Any advice?

Has the GUI really changed that much between 95, 98, XP, 7, 8, and 10? I've got a desktop, taskbar, start menu, things open in resizable windows... The only issue I've had is settings being moved around into different menus, some menus being hidden, things like this. At least in 10 you can right click on the start button to get to Device Manager, Disk Management, etc.

 

 

 

As for NVidia software, get the driver package from geforce.com, and install what you want. I personally install only the graphics driver and physX software. I have no need for GeForce Experience, 3d drivers, HD audio drivers.

i was replying to the OP, as he wants same menu as win7 then you have to use classic shell software , otherwise you'd get the crappy-style win 10 tabletish looking.
