Using a Rift and not sure if this is me or bugs, but:

* When starting the AV-8B at night at Batumi, under the floodlights, the cockpit is completely dark ... any idea how you find the buttons (apart from waving the pointer around and waiting for the cursor to go green)?? Particularly tricky for the switch over you left shoulder!

* The Harriers nose wheel light is so low power you struggle to see infront of you! ... is there a way to make it more powerful??

* There seems to be some problem starting cold with the FLIR not working either on the MFD or on the HUD ... selected night HUD switch. Starting hot all works fine.

Cheers,

James

Lighting at night sucks, especially taxi/landing lights in most planes. The flashlight is awesome, and took me a long time to know it existed. The other thing I do is use the NVG with infinite focus, so I can read inside and look outside. I did this to the Mirage, makes it a lot better at night.

This is really an issue. I have to use nightvision, to get to the runway.

It's usually more helpful. I k ow the a-10 landing light looks fine. It looks like the harrier's landing light is aimed down.
