How do you tell your wingman to engage my target with a maverick? When I assign a target with mav and tell him to engage, I get no response. Then I try targeting with CCIP and then assign, then he follows my order but attacks with MK20. Little suicidal against SAMs.

 

Those SAMs shooting down my mavericks is really getting frustrating. They shoot down 50% of the mavericks I shoot at them. So I'm trying to coordinate the attack with my wingman but can't figure out how.

Or just go into the wingman menu with "\" and make him "Engage Ground Targets" :)

So engage my target with mav's don't work?

 

What weapons to use first is not going to fix it I believe. The problem is if I assign the target using unguided bomb mode, he'll use unguided bomb regardless of what weapon he's told to use first in the briefing.

 

And I tried telling him to take out air defenses. He went for the longest range SAM ignoring the short and medium range sams right under his belly.

Was doing some homework on the SAM's and is it possible for infrared SAM to shoot down Mavericks? Strelas are IR guided SAMs but it's intercepting my Mavs.
