Hi Folks,

Just a quick question. Is it still worth turning off hyperthreading in the bios these days, or is that no longer necessary for better performance?

I am hoping to progress to VR soon and am not sure if turning of hyperthreading will help.

Thank you in anticipation.

I think it was never actually necessary to do so.

And certainly not on the later cpus.

just leave it any change in performance for single threaded tasks are in the margin of error and for multi threaded tasks it's a clear benefit.

But as with all things software it doesn't cost anything to try.

Give it shot and make your own decision but unless you are doing Blender renders on cpu or other such tasks I would guess youbwouldnt notice any difference either way.
