How to add a new waypoint

Hi guys, maybe it was already discussed here, but my question is:

How to add a new waypoint between 2 waypoints in a flight plan?

Provided you've already created the waypoint...

 

CDU Panel .. Right Hand Knob to "OTHER"

Hit the FPM (Flight Plan Management) Key

Hit (I think) LSK Right 1 to highlight "INSERT"

Drop the added waypoint on the Left LSK that corresponds with the waypoint you want to insert before.

Return Right Hand Knob to "FLT PLN"

I'm pretty sure that when you enable "INSERT" via LSK Right 1, it will insert at the point you choose and index everything else down one slot...

 

So if you want to create a new Waypoint 2, click on WPT 2 in FPM MGT to drop it between 1 and 2.

No, in fact you have to index all the waypoints again one by one. Strange with so many technology on board its not indexing itself...

Yes, insert between. When you first enter the FPBUILD page the 01, 02, 03 entries correspond to LSKs L5 L7 L9. Entering a waypoint number and pressing one of those LSKs replaces the first, second, or third entry with the new waypoint.

 

After you press LSK 3R "INSERT WPATT", the first and second waypoint entries move to lines 6 and 8 (third waypoint entry moves to next page).

 

Now when you enter a waypoint number via LSK L5, L7, L9 they are inserted before the first, between the first and second, and after the second existing waypoint respectively. E.g. if you inserted a waypoint via LSK 7L the new waypoint order would be: first, new waypoint, second, third, fourth, and so on.
