sp0nge Posted June 8, 2007 Posted June 8, 2007 Hello everybody! I have been wondering this for a while but I just thought I might post it while I have the time. I see some views in some movies where it looks like F11 but it is panning around and moving vertically or sideways at the same time. How can I achieve this? THANKS!!!:smartass: Is breaking the laws of gravity illegal? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
SuperKungFu Posted June 8, 2007 Posted June 8, 2007 Of course GA is the best man to answer this, but just for a quick answer, you can achieve this through clever camera tricks. Like put a random object and view it. You can zoom out in any direction, horizontally or vertically, and then use the shift-esc command and view it from another angle, and zoom back in. So you would be going back to the same object, but viewing it vertically or horizontally. Hope this makes sense. probably GA should jump in about now haha. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
sp0nge Posted June 8, 2007 Author Posted June 8, 2007 That was a good explanation actually! I understood it after reading it carefully. cheers! ;) Is breaking the laws of gravity illegal? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
SuperKungFu Posted June 8, 2007 Posted June 8, 2007 another way to achieve a horizontal view, like if you want to view a line of parked aircraft on the tarmac is by setting the aircraft in place, then use a car, like a hummer or something, and set a waypoint to drive in front of all those aircraft. Then just basically view the car and use shift-esc again and record. I should make a lock on movie one day. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Kifaru Posted June 8, 2007 Posted June 8, 2007 i think there are also button commands to move the camera vertical while in F11 view. Ill check it out... EDIT: Yep....i was wrong :P Best probably to listen to SuperKungFu. Thats how i'd do it. [sIGPIC]http://img352.imageshack.us/img352/4178/vaafbannerum6copyyj2.gif[/sIGPIC]

SuperKungFu Posted June 8, 2007 Posted June 8, 2007 isn't there a command within lock on to zoom in slowly? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

You'll need a graph calculator and create a mathematical equation to plug in however...
