rhead Posted October 30, 2018 Posted October 30, 2018 (edited) Hi guys. I just wonder any one can bind xbox analog axis as HAT switch in DCS? I have a Saitek FLY5 joystick and it has only one HAT switch. It's really hard to manage the Radar control or Target Designator control without HOTAS system. Thus I tried bind xbox controller as support controller but I couldn't bind those two thumb sticks as TDC or Radar movement function. Because of those are axis. Do you have any idea can bind those thumb sticks as HAT switch? Edited October 30, 2018 by rhead
Svsmokey Posted October 30, 2018 Posted October 30, 2018 (edited) ? I'm confused :) If you click "axis commands" in DCS controls menu , you will find radar elevation and throttle designator controls , and thus should be able to bind . Think maybe you were trying to bind in "all" menu , wherin those functions are meant to be switches . Don't know about xbox controllers , but on the off chance those ministicks are in fact 4 or 8 way switches , then yes you can bind them as hat functions . rhead Posted October 31, 2018 Author Posted October 31, 2018 Hi Svsmokey, Well, I can bind my xbox controller thumb stick as axis command in DCS controls menu. But it only can be binded with some command that DCS allow analog axis input (Not Hat switch type). Anyhow, I found the solution to bind the xbox thumb sticks as hat switch using by the app is called "Antimicro". I mapped the analog thumb sticks as normal keyboard key and it works very well. If someone doesn't have HOTAS, it will be a cheap solution to play DCS.
