imacken Posted November 27, 2018 Posted November 27, 2018 On my Vive Pro, loading DCS is very annoying in the sense that the process is constantly swapping in and out of DCS and back to SteamVR until the UI is reached. Even then, any time there is a bit of disk access in game, DCS swaps out to the SteamVR graphic for a brief moment or two. This did not happen with my old Rift, but I guess it wasn't using SteamVR. Any solution to this? fargo007 Posted November 27, 2018 Posted November 27, 2018 I'd love to know this as well. Hugely annoying. Have fun. Don't suck. Kill bad guys. https://discord.gg/blacksharkden/
Buckeye Posted November 27, 2018 Posted November 27, 2018 Would also love to hear any ideas on this, just received my Odyssey+ yesterday (coming from a Rift CV1) and this is driving me nuts. fargo007 Posted November 27, 2018 Posted November 27, 2018 Preach. I'll say another unexpected annoyance for me is the time it takes to be ready to fly with the O+. It's easily twice the ready up time of the Rift. For those that don't know what we're talking about, in the Rift, while DCS is loading up, starting the mission, loading the terrain, etc it just froze until it was ready to continue. With the O+, SteamVR and Windows Mixed Reality for SteamVR, it continually jitterbugs back and forth between the two. It's bad enough that if you're prone to seizures, you should be careful. The way rift did this is so much cleaner and faster. Why can't I have the best of both worlds dammit? ;-) Have fun. Don't suck. Kill bad guys. https://discord.gg/blacksharkden/
