How to get TERNAV mode 5?

I understand the TERNAV is still getting some work done, but I'm wondering the conditions under which you can actually get it to align the CK37?

 

 

I only ever see mode 0,2,or 3, on the ATK POS/OUT display.

I never see mode 1 (ground standby) or mode 4 (active standby).

EDIT: This is on the Caucasus map. Also, is the elevation database loaded from the mission cartridge? Or is it loaded somewhere else into the CK37?

I've seen this recently as well.

 

In the past prior to the last update or two I'd get a periodic '5' and a slight position shift of the waypoint position. This no longer happens...

 

Possibly related to a recent change to the TERNAV system now being able to be switched off.....
