Help for someone with prehistoric broadband speed.

Evening all,

 

 

I live out in the sticks and think Christmas has come when I occasionally get 280kb/s download speed. My line can only provide 2 Mb/s and I have no access here to an alternative fibre service.

 

 

I'm looking to get the Nevada map while it is on sale and would like to know if anyone knows of a way of downloading it somewhere else (eg the office where I get 1.5+MB/s download) and bringing it home to be installed on my machine here?

 

 

All I seem to be able to do with DCSW updates are within the inbuilt updater and to do this for Nevada would take DAYS...

 

 

Any help gratefully appreciated.

you can try installing DCS world on your remote computer and manually downloading the modules:

then copy the module's folder from the Mods directory and inject them into your home installation. i've never tried it so can't guarantee it would work

If you can figure out how to download the content separately, then I'll throw it on a USB stick and mail you the USB drive.
