Pizzicato Posted December 16, 2018 Posted December 16, 2018 Hi guys, It appears that the Air-to-Air M-61 training mission in broken in the current Open Beta (2.5.3.24984). When pressing LSHFT+X (or aft on the Weapon Select switch on the HOTAS), the dashed GACQ circle doesn't appear on the HUD. It seems to be functional as you can still actually automatically lock up a target, but the dashed circle symobology never appears. The gun doesn't fire when pressing SPACEBAR (or pulling the trigger). I've tried everything I can think of in order to rectify this, but nothing seems to work - the gun refuses to fire. I've tested a bunch of other missions, and the gun functions as expected. twells555 Posted December 16, 2018 Posted December 16, 2018 Hi, I had the same problem with the missiles/gun not firing in the training missions. Turned out the problem was that the training missions use the spacebar to continue the lesson, and I had the trigger button bound to the spacebar by default, and the training mission won. Rebinding the trigger to a key other than the spacebar solved the problem for me. Hope this helps you out. tim Fargo I9-9900, GTX1080Ti,32GRam,Pimax 5k+, HP Reverb, TM WartHog, MTG Pedals
Pizzicato Posted December 16, 2018 Author Posted December 16, 2018 (edited) Hmm... it appears that I'm having the exact same issue in the subsequent AIM-9 L/M, AIM-120 B/C and Air-to-Ground Gun training missions, too. Everything's fine, but the SPACEBAR/trigger doesn't function in any of them. Again, this works just fine in the Instant Action missions - it's just the training missions that are affected. Definitely something to be addressed in software as opposed to requiring key rebinding, though. Thanks again. i7-7700K @ 4.9Ghz | 16Gb DDR4 @ 3200Mhz | MSI Z270 Gaming M7 | MSI GeForce GTX 1080ti Gaming X | Win 10 Home | Thrustmaster Warthog | MFG Crosswind pedals | Oculus Rift S
