some1 Posted December 23, 2018 Posted December 23, 2018 Thanks to its wasteful use of textures, Hawk files in the "DCS World\Mods\aircraft" directory use more than 3GB of space (that's more than all ED modules combined). After installation of 2.5.4, the files are no longer needed, but are left in the folder and can't be uninstalled because Hawk is no longer listed in the Module Manager. I assume it's safe to remove the folder manually, since AI assets are elsewhere so the Hawk can still be used in game as an AI. But it would be best if DCS took care of those Hawk leftovers automatically. Hardware: VPForce Rhino, FSSB R3 Ultra, Virpil WarBRD, Hotas Warthog, Winwing F15EX, Slaw Rudder, GVL224 Trio Throttle, Thrustmaster MFDs, Saitek Trim wheel, Trackir 5, Quest Pro
Vander Posted December 23, 2018 Posted December 23, 2018 I think so. As soon as I heard it would not be supported anymore I deinstalled it in the module manager. However, the 3GB folder was still there (thanks for your post) so I deleted manually.
