  1. Dover Castle is missing because it's in the Channel map (I'm happy at least the landscape isn't empty and all the towns are there!), but yeah, Sacre-Coeur on top of a hill is such a landmark that it's very strange it's missing.....
  2. Delayed fuses have arrived! Have fun blasting those special low level targets guys!
  3. Awesome guys! All the iconic jets from my youth coming to DCS, I love it!
  4. That's an Fw190 with a Zero skin... a bit sad to show this in the trailer... I hope the point is that there will be a WW2 Marianas soon.
  5. Thanks guys. Yes, I am aware that there are a number of solutions to do this using 3rd party tools & software. But maintaining your controller mappings in DCS is already hard enough as it is, I don't want to be dependent on another tool with yet another config to maintain. I would really like some sort of built-in solution. The 'ignore cover' option would be best, but I don't know how hard that is to implement. For now, I'll use my mouse to awkwardly find a latch and flip it. I think the real problem is that in real life you can almost do the two actions in one motion: flip open the cover and flick a switch. In the sim it becomes very unnatural, unless you have it built in in your controller hardware. I have one cover and switch on my Virpil throttle I can use that way.
  6. Feature request: Can we have a feature where we can assign two (or more) actions to one button in a sequence? The user would then be able to combine 'open latch' with 'gear up' for instance. Rationale: I have bought the Mosquito the moment it was in pre-order and I love it! It seems everything is done to the highest standards! The cockpit is a work of art! Then I was confronted with several extra latches and covers to operate gear/flaps/guns/bomb panel etc. This is perfectly fine as this is how the aircraft was designed. But it does create some practical problems for me. I love the clickable cockpit we have in the DCS modules, but I still like to map as much of the controls to physical buttons. On the ground, during cold startup, it's okay. I can look around with trackir or VR and flick all the switches with relative ease with the mouse (with some exceptions). But when I am in the air and everything moves it's very hard to flick a little lever here and open a latch there. I have pretty high end controller hardware, but I simply can't map all those latches and covers, let alone remember them. So my first request was: Can we have an option that automatically takes care of any covers or latches for you? But I think that wil be hard to implement since we already have so many modules and a lot by 3rd party devs. So maybe better to have a generic feature that let's you do it yourself.
  7. From another post: Using DCS_Updater to Uninstall a Specific Module: In the Command Prompt Windows: Type: DCS_Updater.exe uninstall <module> (ie DCS_Updater.exe uninstall F-86F ) So I guess use same procedure I described but use uninstall To find the correct name of the map go to <DCS World>\Mods\terrains then look in the folder of the map you want to install/deinstall for entry.lua. In that file is an entry 'update-id' that contains the name of the map that you can use in the command as described above.
  8. THIS! Trying to have some fun with the Mosquito, but it's impossible if there is any (heavy) flak around. Even at the lowest skill setting they often hit me with their first salvo and then when I turn and dive they are somehow able to time the fuses within split seconds and hit me again??? Afaik only the US had proximity fuses. Also, please add a lower skill level to AAA so a mission designer can choose to make the mission outcome more dependent on player bombing skills than on the probability of AAA hitting you (which is now roughly > 95%). Clarification: By skill level I mean accuracy, which is now uncannily high even at lowest setting.
  9. A little update: For Win10: LShift + Right click in bin folder and press "Open PowerShell window here" Then type: .\DCS_Updater.exe install <followed by the name of the map> New maps: THECHANNEL_terrain SYRIA_terrain
  10. I'm also curious. Elevator sensitivity is extreme. I have a very precise Virpil stick yet I had to add a 25% curve (which I don't like!). No doubt they have crunched the numbers and everything is according to spec, but you have to take into account the controller hardware that players are using?! If I still had my old Thrustmaster I would not have been able to fly the plane at all I think. What kind of controllers are used to test these FM's?
  11. Eagerly awaiting the delayed fuse bombs! This was after my attempt at bombing Amiens prison. The Mosquito is a fantastic module though! All I had hoped for and more!
  12. Well look at that! Thanks ED!
  13. Same issue. It always loads another mission. If I then select the other mission, it loads the mission I wanted to load in the first place!
  14. Totally agree. At first I was skeptical of 'yet another desert map' and the fact that actual fighting was still going on there which felt strange. But forgetting politics and just looking at the map you'll find that this map has it all and looks fantastic: mountains, forests, farm land, highly detailed cities and ports, sea, a fantastic coastline (and it will even be improved), small airfields, big military airfields, heliports, numerous detailed industrial areas, the list goes on. Well done Ugra!
  15. Can confirm. They switch once, but never switch back although named a 'toggle'
  16. Good to hear! Tip: You'd need some outer walls that can be breached and buildings that can be destroyed individually, so not just one target. If you destroy the walls, but keep the prison building intact you win the prize!
  17. As discussed. Quite important for low level strikes...
  18. The location is well inside the current map boundary. The Mosquito is next aircraft to be released (beta), yet no mention of this very obvious target? Or waiting for winter season version of the map? 19. Thanks. Then it's Firmware_vpc_200204_[CNT-ATMEGA32U4].hexc
  20. Strange, I can't see firmware version in the tool. But yes, I did update a couple of times. The latest firmware I have is from feb 2020 I think.
  21. I have the same throttle and have seen similar behaviour: -After PC boot sometimes the buttons won't work, but the axis will. You can quickly check this (in my case) by turning the selector knob: If the LEDs don't turn on/change color then I know this is happening. -In Elite Dangerous after I start I sometimes have the same: Axis work, but buttons don't. however, this is an issues in the game: When I go into controls settings and hit 'apply', everything works again. To solve the problem after boot I have set the USB boot delay to the max setting of 8 sec. It's somewhere in the Profile section. This seems to have solved my problem. I do not have problems during game play in DCS or BOS. But something definitely changed the last couple of months? Must be Windows related.
  22. Can refuel in the Harrier. This is sort of a mandatory skill if you want to fly from ships or farps since you can’t take much fuel with you. I fly mostly SP.
  23. http://www.leobodnar.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=180 See the link: Encoder Configuration Software (it's not clear this is a link). Also make sure you connected diodes according to the diagram. Works flawlessly for me.
