Map radio function

I am trying to figure out how do put targets either ground or air in the F10 map. I know it’s usually it’s done in the mission editor but in the Through the inferno mission it says to use the radio button in the F10 map. I have looked for a radio tab but I don’t see anything. Am I missing something?

You need to open the COMMs menu like you would say for ATC, or Wingman. Normally the \ key if using simple radio mode and I can't remember for normal COMMs as mine is bound to my throttle.

 

Anyway, call up that menu, then look for F10, (this is where F5 would be for ATC, F7 for AWACS etc.) once you press F10 you will get options like air to ground and air to air. missions Select one of those, again using F keys and then choose the mission type, easy, normal hard, again using F keys.

This is all done by scripting in the mission. You'll have to learn scripting and the mission scripting API to be able to build menu's, read map markers, and spawn units. I know this is a very high level answer but this is the road you would have to go down for something like this.
