Infiltrator Posted February 4, 2019 Posted February 4, 2019 I currently have an Asus X99 Deluxe board, a 5820K processor, 32Gb of RAM and a GTX 1080. However, I'm contemplating upgrading to an Asus Z390-E board and a 9900K processor. My question is: is it worth upgrading given my current build's spec? It runs as smooth as silk. Looking at the benchmarks I don't think upgraging from my 1080 is going to be worth it, so I might hold off from upgrading the board and CPU. I'm waiting in great anticipation for HTC's Vive Pro 'Eye' so that might be my next purchase. If it does indeed use eye tracking technology I should be able to get away with running it with my 1080 too. Gladman Posted February 4, 2019 Posted February 4, 2019 Take a look at my setup below. I came from a 4790K and 1080. In my opinion, well worth it.
