Just make sure you name the folder in there properly, for the Hornet for exemple, default folder is:

...\DCS World OpenBeta\CoreMods\aircraft\FA-18C\Liveries\FA-18C_hornet

So in your saved games you should nammed the subfolders in which you would put the liveries:

...\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Liveries\FA-18C_hornet

Actually.. one last question. Some of the skins aren't showing. Example..Mig-29S skin for France. I have the right country (France) selected but the aircraft (MIG-29S) isn't available in the ME.

Why would this be?

Because the airplane itself is not available for that country, easiest would be to edit the description.lua file of that skin and add any country the mig is available for. Been A country of course int eh coalition you are.

EDIT: if you know how to edit, you could edit the description.lua file of that French liveries, and at the bottom of the file, you get a line that should look like:

countries = {"FRA"}

You could edit it and add Ukraine as country, since it's in the same coalition (Blue) as opossed to Russia.

So it would look like.

countries = {"FRA, UKR"}

Or if you want it for Russia smply add it as well

countries = {"FRA, UKR, RUS, USSR"}

Editing the .lua files to add the M-29S to France is a bit more complicated and not sure if it makes pass the integrity check on servers.

Very much appreciate your help. I just looked at one of my skins....this is what it reflects at the bottom (MIG-29S):

}

name = "Siberian Tiger # 136"

countries = {"RUS","FRA","USA"}

But I still don't have the MIG-29S as an option in ME, when USA or FRA selected as the country (ies).

I know I have the MIG-29S available...though not sure where the file for it is.

Any insight in to what's wrong?

Which units belong to which countries is defined elsewhere. That setting in the description.lua just defines which countries would see that specific livery if that unit as available. For instance the A-10C is available for every country, but only certain liveries show up for certain countries. Generally speaking db_countries.lua in your Scripts/Database folder is where you can modify which objects belong to which country. However modification of that would break integrity check.

The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world.

As i listed, change the bottom line for:

countries = {"FRA, UKR, RUS, USSR, USA"}

Though USA, FRA are useless unless you change the .lua to specify which country uses the MIG-29S, in any cases with th line i wrote you, you can select the MIG-29S as Ukrain (MIG-29S is available for Ukriane) if in blue coalition with the US and France for exemple, and the livery will be available to Ukraine since you speficed UKR in the description.lua of the livery. Remember that by default, the Mig-29S is available minly for Russia and Ukraine (can't remember if otehr countries has tje S variant, i know Germany had the G one), so easiest bypass is simply to allow the liveries to be seen for one of those two countries. In otehr words, you'll have a Ukrainian Mig-29S with a French livery :) This little trick is what i do to be able to select my favorite liveries on public servers, as i add USA to my Canadian liveries on the line i showed you, so when i select a USA Hornet online, i can select the Canadian default Hornet liveries.
