Modify MiG-21 Weapons Armament

So why are we not able to modify the MiG-21 with different Weapons (R-77,R-73...). I know 2 ways to do it, but then the missiles are inside the plane. Please allow us to modify the MiG-21 with different Weapons.

No, it is a fair request.

 

All other aircraft can have their armaments modified either by

C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\CoreMods\aircraft\*module name*\*module name.lua*

or

C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Scripts\Database\planes\*module name.lua*

 

MiG-21 is the exception.

Our MiG-21 is a BIS and you would need a MiG-21-93 to be able to use r77 and r73. Since we don't have the avionics on the BIS I don't understand how you would be able to use these assets. I mean what's going to be the next request, p51 with aim9x?

Of course you can use the Missiles. Simply lock your Target and shoot your R-77, R-27R/ER. With the R-77 you can simply align yourself to the target and launch it with the Emergency Missile Launcher from about 30km.
