The DUD cue and relevant bomb behavior triggers way too low, compared to before. I was able to have a MK-83 detonate when dropped from 70ft AGL, flying level.

Applies to the rest of the MK-80 series, including retarded bombs in FF mode. LBGs seem to work correctly, a GBU-12 displayed DUD at ~2000ft with low dive angle.

The DUD trigger altitude varies and depends on the speed and steepness of the dive, but triggers at most at around 600ft AGL. I assume that this is because of the calculated TOF.

Tested on 2.5.4.28090 Open Beta, PG map, custom mission. No mods installed. Track included.

Also if you're planning to drop below 600ft you should be using snake eyes or balutes. The last OB update to the dud logic was supposed to correct said dud logic. Seems legit no? It was designed to protect the pilot (and the multimillion dollar airframe) from dropping too low and fragging you.

One time, by pulling like crazy joystick.gif. In the track I upload here though (80-90ft drop), my F-18 was sacrificed in the name of bug testing..

I know, I'd never use a free fall bomb that low. It was just for testing, after I realized one time that I was too low and didn't get the DUD cue on my HUD.

You know what I now realise I misread your original post. I thought you were saying that you were unable to have the 83 detonate at 70ft with latest update. Not the other way around. My bad dude!

I wish I could check the track but if your rad alt was off I assume the computer would have been using your barometric altitude for dud reference. That's assuming your altimeter wasnt set for the area you were flying in. Therefore giving you wacky dud cue altitudes.

Nope, the radar altimeter was on and I had selected RADALT to be displayed on the HUD. I did check if having it off made any difference, can't say it did.

I uploaded the track right after your first comment, post #3.
