when i animate a model (right stab. for example) and try to export as a lom

it says "export module failure"..

what do i do wrong?...

i do exactly as the "animate in lomac.avi" shows...

 

any help will do

 

Did you try converting the model to *.lom before starting the animation process?.

All parts of model must have UVW coordinates.

 

What's the course of action for exporting LODs USSR_Gys71? :helpsmilie:

Sorry. My english too bad for it. :( But for example you can see how ED made it for Su-25T.

Any LOD-is new model which has approximately 2/3 polys from previous.

Yea cool, I did the polys-polys and actualy 3 of tham LODs with 100% 75% and 4% of polys, so there i have three models stack in max with not being able to export them.

I observed the LODs of SU-33 in the game and it works well and than I exported my LODs and thay don't do that.:D

So I figured that they can be exported, the LOD section in LOMUTILS is there after all and the manual is in russian.

Rocket section info is found but this, but this...?

how can I?

in 3dsmax is there an "convert to lom" option like "convert to poly"?

becouse as far as i know you can convert to lom only in export process..

plug-in is in russian language.. is it in Lom utilities bar?

You must edit *.skins file.

lod = {"model name", 30};

lod = {"Lod1 name", 500};

lod = {"Lod2 name", 1000000};

collision = "name-COLLISION";

 

 

Su-25T skins for example

lod = {"SU-25T", 30};

lod = {"SU-25T_LOD1", 500};

lod = {"SU-25T_LOD", 1000000};

collision = "SU-25T-COLLISION";

OH!..ok..

now i understand..

and the answer is yes..

but i solved it...

I made the model in 3dsmax9..than exported it as 3ds..and imported to 3dsmax7..At 3dsmax 7 the flaps was in one piece(the old edit poly>symetry>meshsmooth tree) than i divided it at max7..thats where the lom plug-in rejects the export..when divide it at max9 than imported to max7.. than it works..

 

Also..USSR_Gys71 was right..when you divide it in max7 if you set the UVW maps indivisually again for each part you divided.. it also works..

 

The problem is basicly UVW maps (again USSR_Gys71 is right)

when max9 exports, it exports all parts with UVW maps. When you tinker them in max7 original UVW maps become useless. So you have to UVW map them again for a smooth lom export..

I found the UVW map, but i don´t have idea what i have to do!!!!

 

How i can fix this problem. What do i have to push??????

You can find some interesting tutorials with the use of search engines like google, yahoo etc.

Simply tipe in the search slot, the key wards like: ''3ds max material tutorials'' and ''3ds max mapping tutorial'' and I'm sure some thing useful will come up.

It's the case of learning and not pushing i.e takes time.
