Q about Waypoint Limitations

I'm a little confused about the waypoint limitations. I read in the manual that only 3 waypoints are programmable, but more "waypoints" by a different name (was it datalink or something?) can be programmed as well. Currently the Mission Editor lets you place as many waypoints as you want, so what happens to all waypoints after #3 if you create a longer flight plan in the Mission Editor?

Sorta like with the KA-50's PVI-800, you just can't select them directly, but they still appear on your kneeboards. A RIO would be able to replace assorted waypoints as needed.

Also note the manual, you can create the other waypoint types via the "navigation target point" tab and adding a comment to each to identify which waypoint type it is. ST for surface target, IP for initial point etc.

Yes exactly like the Viggen.

Wow he really didn't cover the RIO seat on that one. Anyways the RIO has a switch in the back seat top right of the TID to select assorted waypoints manually. Pilot can do it by telling jester or human RIO.
