Chunky Posted March 17, 2019 Posted March 17, 2019 (edited) I've been using TrackIR for over a year and it has worked great for me... Until the F-14 came along. I can look up, left, and right without issue. When I look down into the cockpit, my view jumps all over the place. I've checked my TrackIR program and the reflectors are not going out of range. I've tried adjusting the curves and saturation for the pitch axis, but nothing seems to help. There definitely appears to be a bug. I posted a video showing the problem in the Digital Combat Simulator Facebook group. Thanks, Tim Campbell Modules: AJS-37, AV-8B, A-4E, A-10A, F/A-18C, F-15C, F-5E, Hawk T.1A, L-39, M-2000C, MiG-15bis, MiG-21bis, MiG-29, P-51D, Su-25, Su-27, Su-33, UH-1H, Yak-52 Edited April 2, 2019 by IronMike
chaser Posted March 17, 2019 Posted March 17, 2019 Its not a bug I use track Ir and my views are fine what clip are you using-the cap one is rubbish [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Chunky Posted March 17, 2019 Author Posted March 17, 2019 I use the included track clip, but every other module works great for me.
dmayan Posted March 17, 2019 Posted March 17, 2019 No problems at all here. But I use the Pro clip (The IR emitting one) -- Ryzen 7 2700X / 16gB DDR4 2666 / HP ex920 1tB SSD NVME / GeForce GTX1080ti / HOTAS Warthog / TrackIR 5--
KiraTheCat Posted March 17, 2019 Posted March 17, 2019 Same here. Use the clip, usually no problem. Suggestion: Check the 'Camera View' in the main screen for TrackIR. It will allow you to see what the camera sees. You might find that your camera location is an issue, resulting in the LEDs going out of the camera's field of view at the extremes of head movement. Camera placement adjustment would be required. I've had to do that a few times (in general, not just for this module).
Donut Posted March 18, 2019 Posted March 18, 2019 I have had similar problems in the past and the solution can be any of the following: Increase the TrackIR speed setting Adjust the angle of the sensor and/or clip Play around with these until you get the desired viewing limits. i5 7600K @4.8GHz | 1080 Ti | 32GB 3200MHz | SSD | DCS SETTINGS | "COCKPIT"

Hyd Transfer Pump Switch , my view also jumps all over the place. _________________________________ Aorus Z390 Extreme MB | i9 9900k CPU @ 5.0 GHz | EVGA RTX 2080 Ti FTW3 Ultra | 32 GB G Skill Trident Z 3600 MHz CL14 DDR4 Ram | Corsair H150i Pro Cooler | Corsair TX 850M PS | Samsung 970 Evo Plus M.2 NVMe SSD 1TB |TMWH Hotas with VPC WarBRD Base| Corsair Gamer 570x Crystal Case | HP Reverb

I've verified that TrackIR is at the proper angle. Increasing the axis speed doesn't help. I don't have this problem with other modules like the Viggen.
Emmy Posted March 18, 2019 Posted March 18, 2019 If I need to spend extended time below the nominal eye line, I simply raise my head a little and re-center my TrackIR to bias it low. Vice Versa if I want to be able to look everywhere above the nominal eye line. I use a hat clip. Serves me well in all my modules. Shimmergloom667 Posted March 18, 2019 Posted March 18, 2019 Hat clip here, no problems with TrackIR5 and looking down, even at that pesky hydraulic transfer pump switch. I'm seconding what Emmy says, but otherwise: tweak your curves more. i7 - 9700K | 32 GB DDR4 3200 | RTX 2080 | VKB Gunfighter Mk II /w MCG Pro | Virpil T-50CM2 Throttle | TrackIR 5 | VKB Mk. I changed my PC location recently and on new spot sun rays are hitting directly my TrackIR. These rays were the reason of making my TrackIR goes crazy! That looks like your reflection is going out of register on the tracker also so sometime if you don't have the track IR window in the background you will also find this problem I have up graded my clip and have no problem what so ever with registration and or movement [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
