I always have the 'pinky' lever assigned as a modifier in all DCS modules to double up my available HOTAS binding capability, and gives me bindings for F views, kneeboard, etc.

In the Tomcat, it works as per normal in the pilot seat, but doesn't work in the RIO seat.

If I go into control settings, it is recognised as a modifier, but doesn't work.

Yup- i have the same problem as well. I use the Warthog -> throttle mouse stick pushed-in as my “modifier” on all aircraft to double up my bindables (oculus VR guy here... anti keyboard!) and have had strange behavior with my modifier functionality. Can’t say for sure 100% no worky but I usually use the modifier to bring up my clickable cockpit cursor and that definitely doesn’t work in backseat in both SP and MP for me. Think the modifier does work when emulating a “left mouse press” but think that’s it. I’ll double check and update this when I get home.

If you are referring to the slew nipple, then the press doesn’t work for me at all in F-14. It is recognised in the controls section, but doesn’t work at all.

I think there are other controls as well that don’t work on the HOTAS.

My issue is weird though, the pinky lever works ok in pilot, but not in RIO.

From my experience, Rio has his own set of controls, including modifiers.

Hardware: VPForce Rhino, FSSB R3 Ultra, Virpil WarBRD, Hotas Warthog, Winwing F15EX, Slaw Rudder, GVL224 Trio Throttle, Thrustmaster MFDs, Saitek Trim wheel, Trackir 5, Quest Pro

Correct to an extent. There are some bindings that are carried over from the pilot.

However, that's not the solution. I am setting the binding in the RIO control section.

The pinky lever is recognised but just doesn't work in-game for the RIO.

Other HOTAS buttons/switches just don't work at all in the F-14 despite also being recognised in the control settings.

This. Modifiers need to be configured seperatly for the RIO. I use the paddle switch on my WH Stick as a modifier and it works great.

I also use the "slew nipple depress" to toggle the LANTIRN between WHOT and BHOT which works fine as well.

Just tried re-configuring again. Seems OK now. Maybe it was sorted in the hot fix.

Anyway, all good now. Lever and nipple press working in RIO.

This is not as simple as I thought. The HOTAS bindings working is dependent on the mission.

For example, my autopilot engage/disengage engages but doesn't disengage in certain missions.

For example, works in Causasus Free Flight, but not Dogfight. I have it bound to normal autopilot engage/disengage button on the throttle.

This needs clarification.
