Lyrinx Posted March 20, 2019 Posted March 20, 2019 *NOTE* I've tried doing a support ticket, got ignored for a few days then they just directed me here... Ok so when i try and load into a F14 my game crashes, whether in singleplayer or multiplayer, ive done a fresh reinstall of DCS and it still does it, making sure to delete files the uninstall doesnt. Its getting frustrating as i pre-purchased this and haven't been able to fly it once... here is my log dcs.txt Thanks in advance vLyrinx Discord: vLyrinx#2840
Swordsman422 Posted March 20, 2019 Posted March 20, 2019 I could be wrong, but I think this might be your trigger item right here: 2019-03-18 17:59:13.883 WARNING F-14: F-14 Build vs DCS version mismatch! Built with: 2.5.4.28461, DCS is: 2.5.4.28615
Lyrinx Posted March 21, 2019 Author Posted March 21, 2019 So it's saying my dcs is too up to date, so I need to somehow downgrade my dcs vLyrinx Discord: vLyrinx#2840
MadDog-IC Posted March 21, 2019 Posted March 21, 2019 So it's saying my dcs is too up to date, so I need to somehow downgrade my dcs This would be due to the "quick fix" released to fix a few issues shortly after release of the F-14, so I am guessing they haven't recompiled the F-14 code for the newer version of DCS, don't know what effect that might have, most likely it will work ok as is. Your DCS.log shows: 019-03-18 17:51:45.470 ERROR VISUALIZER: unable to init OpenVR runtime: Hmd Not Found (108) This is the only thing I can see wrong with your log, so if your trying to run with a VR headset it can't find it, so this might be the issue, it doesn't have a device to output to, you might have to update any VR control software to new versions or fix USB or HDMI connections, I don't have VR so I can't tell you anything to do in regard to that. MadDog-IC Posted March 21, 2019 Posted March 21, 2019 (edited) Ive tried running DCS with both VR on and Off and it still crashes, but only in the F14, i cant still jump in the F18 or any other aircraft i have just fine with both VR and no VR Strange one indeed, I would try deleting the whole F-14 module install and re-installing it then. Also backup and remove or rename your "Saved Games folder and run a fresh "Saved Games" Folder for testing if you have not already done so. Post copies of: A DXdiag report DCS install folder, ie "E:\DCS World OpenBeta\autoupdate_log.txt" and "E:\DCS World OpenBeta\autoupdate_log_old.txt". Regards, Ian.
