imacken Posted March 23, 2019 Posted March 23, 2019 Can someone explain the secret of getting a full-action fix on the DDD in radar mode? Whenever I try, it seems to be hit and miss to lock a target. About 8 times out of 10, the radar dot just disappears when I do a half-action press with the cursor over it. Salsam Posted March 23, 2019 Posted March 23, 2019 When in half-action on HCU, hovering the DDD cursor over the last location of "tgt" use the +/- radar elevation (scrollwheel on HCU) to require target, then press full-action. Makes sense? A part of NOSIG
Wrench Posted March 23, 2019 Posted March 23, 2019 What I found very helpful was to map the HCU thumbwheel to an axis (upgraded warthog slew by Delta Simulations in my case.) This way you can use the HCU thumbwheel to sweep the radar up and down with the Range/Rate Gate over where you saw the target. Carrier Script.

Thanks, I have it bound to the CMS switch on the Warthog, so easy to use. I didn't even think about using the thumbwheel.
