Rio back to pilot seat issues

Can't get back into the pilot seat after I jump into the back seat F14? HOTAS has pilot seat and rio seat bound to buttons.

Change the drop down menu to F14 RIO and assign a button to get back to pilot seat.

You are most probably trying to assign an F14 Pilot button.

It you are doing the AWG-9 training missions, I think they disable there the switch back to the pilot.
